Yes you should get your tools folder back, but a full recovery will erase any and all of your data that you had put on the drive ie: pictures, music, non-IBM software. etc.
You may want to take a search of the IBM ThinkPad support site to see if can down load them from there.
i've deleted the IBMTools folders and other accessories..
if i use the recovery CD to reinstall the OS, will i be able to get them back?
I believe that using the full 7-8 CD recovery CD set will return your computer exactly back the way it was when you first got it - that includes the C:/IBMtools and C:/drivers directory and intervideo WinDVD.
Otherwise, all the IBMTools apps should be available for download on the web.
