Hey everyone, Review has now been completed, and I've ran 3dmark03 and 05 both at stock.
Updated April 2nd, 2005: Two new photos, more later, and an extra section about cooling has been added.
Review
ITC Millennia 7300/Sager NP9860
This machine's config: Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 550 w/ HT Technology 3.4GHz 1MB Cache, 1GB Dual Channel DDR2
SO-DIMM at 533MHz (2 x 512MB), 60GB Hard Drive 7200rpm 8MB Cache, Toshiba 8X Dual Layer DVD+/-RW / 24X CD-RW
Combo, Nvidia Geforce 6800 Go w/ 256MB GDDR3 memory (User-upgradable), 17" WideSXGA+ 1680 x 1050 LCD Display
with Built-in Camera, Windows XP Home Edition w/ SP2, No WiFi. (Cost $4,503.96 AUD after discounts)
No Dead Pixels, yay.
When I first saw my 9860/7300, I was speechless. The screen looked great, and the overall presentaion of this
machine is far superiour to my old Dell I8200. The keyboard on this machine is great, finally a notebook with a numpad! The screen runs at a high resution of 1680x1050, and is a 17" wide screen. I am very impressed by
the overall quality and sharpness of this screen. Gotta love the glossy screen too! Most improtantly, NO DEAD PIXELS! YES!
I play GTA: Vice City alot, and also play a CMP on it called Myriad Islands (www.myriadislands.com). This
lappy plays the game lag free with 8xFSAA and 16xAF. Other games i've played are Half Life 2, and Call of Duty
and this laptop will play these on full setting at max res. (1280x1024 for Call of duty, as it doesn't support
wide screen resultions). Half Life 2 is amazing, i might say too. I haven't had a chance to play Doom 3 on
this baby, but i'm sure it will handle it with ease.
This notebook kills my desktop (3.2Ghz P4, 9800 Pro 256MB), in every game, and I was impressed with that when
I got it (I know i'll just laugh at my 7300 when I get something new in like what? 5 years?? lol). My 7300 scores
a great 3665 in 3dmark05, and 8750 in 3dmark03 at stock speeds. Overclocked at 362/1006 I score 3960 in 3dmark05
and 9350 in 3dmark03, i'm quite impressed by these scores.
So far I've had some problems with graphics card drivers, and I've had the BSOD (Blue screen of death) three times
(Once with the drivers, and two trying to reformatt). But hey, I always have problems with new computers! Doesn't
everyone? I got my 9860/7300 from P4laptops, which was orginally $4,610.00 AUD before discounts, as I found
someone else with it cheaper (Alienware A51-m 7700, but I wont get into that), so I got it knocked down to $4,425.00
AUD, but P4Laptops charge 1.83% for credit cards, which ended up at $4,503.96 AUD as shown above.
This laptop has some great little things, that you just don't get on some notebooks, like a Webcam and a 7 in 1
Card reader. The webcam works great on this, and comes in handy if you had a great hair style, and wanted to get a
picture of your self, or something else completely stupid thing that I could always come up with. The 7 in 1 card
reader comes in handy, if you have a spare CompactFlash card hanging around, and don't have any CD-R's or anything.
I've used this many times already, and can save battery life on my digi camera, as I can just take photo's of the
CF card opposed to using a USB tranfer cable.
P4Laptops did a great job of getting my 9860/7300 here, it only took three working days (After discovering I was
put on Prioty. I still don't completly know why, they just might really like me or something) So far, i'm loving
this notebook (As you can tell from my review). I would recommened this lappy over any other, if you were wanting
to game on a laptop. I think i'm in love.....
Edit: To everyone warried about a hot laptop, a prefect cheap solution is to stick a Dictionary under the back of the laptop. I find this not only allows more airflow, but it also provides a better typing angle!

Maybe the drivers changed the clock speeds or something lol. Anyone like my review?

I should of just left 3dmark05 installed for you.
