Hi Guys,

I am new here, grea site. Got a question. I have the R3230 notebook, and I love it. Recently had some time to play with it.

I have thsystem set as a desktop with full perormance in video card options.

When does the system actually power up and use the processors full speed.

Cause I ran 3D01 and I scored 5000, but my Sony Vaio XP1800 @ 1.53 with a Ge froce 4 Go 420 32DDR scores 4600. My system has a 440 64 DDR and a A64 that runs 1.8 with L2 1mb cache. After the 3D01 run the ORB showed the processor at 797mhz.

Does this notebook automatically scale back cpu when there is no load or can you configure it to run at full speed as I use AC power currently??

Stumpedany feedback welcomed

The processor should automatically scale back when not at 100% use.
Probably your processor is stuck at 797MHz. Try using the updated driver from Hp or AMD.

You should get around 6000 in 3DM01se

Try mobile meter..

It gives instantaneous readings...It should scale up to 1800Mhz when opening pdf files or large word docs.

If you are on A/C power then select Always On in Power Options(Control Panel classic view)
