FS550 vs A250

Thread Starter
i'm looking to either get one of these to sony vaio laptops. The fs550 i can get for 1350 after rebates and the a250 i can get for 1499 where bestbuy sells it at 1999. Can someone explain to me the difference between the two. They both have the Xbrite technology but the a250 has ATI Mobility™ Radeon™ 9200 64MB Video RAM which is like the only major difference. Also a250 weighs about 1 pound more but weight isn't too much concern for me. Anyone give me their opinions on these two machines

Get the FS550, its a far better machine, and if what you're telling me is right about pricing, its cheaper.

The 6200 graphics in the FS is better than the 9200 by a little. The A250 doesnt have the new sonoma chipset either. Oh, and the FS is much sexier

I'd also get the FS over an A250. The A series I like are the big ones with the 17" WUXGA screens and the smaller A230 with the 15" SXGA screen.

A series will weight over 10lb with BIG AC adaptor vs FS550. Screen wise, A-series is better if you need BIG Screen.
FS500 with Nvidia 6200 will be faster than ATI 9200.
