Pc problem

My pc sounds very strange, one of the fans sounds like its on overdrive, 3x louder than normal, high pitch noise. For some reason I think its the little fan on the motherboard. Could it be lack of airflow, or underpowered? Maybe its too hot and i need to let it cool off?

OK im 100% sure its the small fan on my mobo... whats up?

Check it for dust. I have seen that problem on a few systems. Good luck.

If it uses those paper sleeve "bearings" instead of ball bearings, they tend to get obnoxious after some time.

you mean the chipset fan on your motherboard. i had that go out on my abit board.

yeah the chipset fan it goes insane for about a min when i start up the computer but it goes back to normal after... like i said, a min. Weird
