lol you are wrong boy. 99% of all their products are manufactured through a contractor which dell hires. dell dont build their own machines. only laptop that is built nicely and is GOOD is the 700m series which are built by samsung. otherwise all their laptops/ lcds tv's are rebadged or made through taiwan/china/malaysia contractors! you pay for what you get!

sony even dont make all their laptops. if its not made in japan? its made from someone else. their xbrite marketing crap is just a fujitsu or sharp lcd underneath! their 10k lcd tv's are fujitsu's!


companies just give the blueprint of their products away to build em. but they have no control over quality build or rigid testing. thats why you have see so many failures/warranties on so many of their laptops

asus/acer/fujitsu are few companies that only build their own laptops in their factory.

and also fyi. asus builds apple powerbooks

nice laptop, had mine for 1.5 years... I took care of it while I had it, but then my wife took it from me... screen has a marks from the keyboard, scratches on the case, rubber feet are falling off, but other then that, still works great... it will be with us until it dies
