Compaq R3000T vs R3230US

How good is R3230US as compared to R3000T. I was looking for r3000t but our dealer has r3230us. The specs look good for r3230us, but it would be great if somebody could throw some more light on this...

Also r3230us is 15" XGA. Is this still a wide screen?

How good is "ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9000 IGP" 128MB Shared considering total RAM is 768MB.

Goto hpshopping.com and look at the r3000z. better processor if you go with the amd 64 and usually can get a better price on it with a better graphics setup

What does "good" to you mean in terms of graphics?

I have a MR 9000 and I play HL2 (dx 7), and UT2k4, and War 3 just fine (30fps)

Games that don't work at all are Call of Duty, SW:KOTOR, and Doom3 (slideshow).

Farcry ran good enough to play...but nothing incredible.

So I ask the question, what does "good" mean to you?

If you are going to do any hard gaming (intense FPS), go with the R3000Z series, even though the card is a few years old, it's can handle games a lot better then the MR9000.

Just a thought...
