my 8104 has a dpad between the trackpad buttons, I assume this is meant to work as a scroll feature similar to the scroll wheel on a mouse, but it doesn't do anything.

My scrollpad doesn't do anything either, even after re0installing the drivers. Anyone know how to get it working?

Hi, go to the mouse settings in control panel and then to device settings then settings. Expand the 'buttons' and make sure they are doing what they should do....

upon further testing it seems both virtual scrolling and the scroll pad work sometimes, for example, in Excel but not firefox. Any tips on getting it to work with firefox?

the scroler will not work with firefox - neither will the scroll bar on the side of your touchpad (if you run your finger down the right hand side it scrolls for those who didint know, and the bottom infact). Ive looked for any add ons that fix this but i am unable to find any yet. WAIT TO SEE IF THE NEXT VERSON OF FIREFOX HAS SUPPORT, or iexplore

Seek and ye shall find!

See my post last month on how to fix this by reverting to older drivers: http://notebookforums.com/showthread...853#post697853
