Inspiron 6000 - Should I Return It?

Hi Everyone:

I got my I6000 3 weeks ago. Its 512MB DDR2 and Intel Graphics. I am satisfied with the design and stuff. I am not quite sure about the grapshics though. I saw some reviews of the integrated graphics one here. Even say some videos of games like Battlefield running on it. It was satisfying. But right now when I am using my system with Microsoft Word I am having some problems. Thing is, when I import any pictures in Word and work with them, the just disappear. I have to switch between windows or minimize Word and then maximize it again for the picture to appear. Is this because of integrated graphics?

Secondly, my 30 day dealdline is March 17. Yesterday I ordered an exchange due to dead pixels. I have got my new order number and got the UPS return labels. I need to make a decision by tonight wether I want to keep an integrated graphics one or should I just cancel the exchange order and return this one and wait another month or so for the prices of 6000D to come down.

I'd appreciate any help and suggesstions.

I say if your not satisfied then you should return it, because you'll be stuck with that lappy for a long time.

But the problem you're describing sounds like a software problem. See if there are new video drivers first. If that doesn't fix it, then toss it back.

Hey, when the graphics in Word disappear, are they replaced with a white graphic the same size that has a big red X through it? If so, it's word. Had that problem a while back.

It's not a 30 day return policy. I think returns are for 21 days after the invoice date. If it's past that, you may not have to struggle with the descision.
