the real question, dajoshguy, is what will be better: multi HL2 or HALO???

If I placed my order on the 30th of August, when should I expect mine to be shipped? Oh, and I only ordered the battery backup from the list of backordered items for my comp. Thanks!

OK, deep breath...at least some of them are shipping now.

You will be must disappointed as to find there are some problems with it.....even though the 8890 is a supe'd up version of the 5680 with just additional accessories....the video card, cpu, etc. should mostly be the same.

thats the problem with ATI i think...they're having problems cuz ATI always have problems with their new chipsets. there's also keyboard issue, memory sodimm issue, i hope they fix this crap in 5680 so i can buy it.

but i'll wait till you guys buy it and find all the bugs first.

best wishes to you buyers!
I've been beating on my 8890 for a week now and have seen none of the problems a few others are talking about. You have to figure there are hundreds of 8890s out there and only a tiny percentage had some problems. ATI drivers are working fine for me and gaming is awesome on this thing. I do have the rattling keyboard thing but the fix should be waiting for me at home (it's not that annoying anyway). All in all, the 8890 is the best notebook I have ever touched. You all are going to be happy with with the 8890's little brother.....the 5680.

Well, i will review it when i get it, but since i made the mistake of ordering the DVD-r, it will be longer....

I'm going to do my best to do a nice review with tons of pics, my main problem is just hosting them. I guess i'll just set up another account of villagephotos.com or something. I would include videos but i don't have a digital video camera, sorry. I wanna TRY to top some of the other famous reviews around here such as those by ayasin, gsferrari, myrkat, and of course Adam, but i doubt that will happen with all the school work i'm already swiming in.

Oh and i know i'll be in the first shipment but my question is if i ordered second day air, will it be in transit tommorow (saturday). Either way by tuesday hopefully my review'll be up and running.

If they're small, and not too numerous, I may be willing. Let me know.

Thanks for the offer but i'll take care of it, other wise i can guarentee you'll hate my by the time all is said and done. If anyone here can recomend a good free image hosting site with a high size limit and will allow me to have pretty detailed photos.

I dont want to get off the subject but everyone is reading this and I have a question about he 5680. If you get to hard drives, dose the extra battery go in the floppy drive as it is removable.

Sorry about that I could not find the answer in a search. But im not a noob here lol. I just have always looked at the 8890

www.hostultra.com. You just can't host media files there (mp3, mpeg, etc) but jpegs should be fine. Unlimited space and unlimited bandwidth...can't ask for much more than that.

Has anyone gotten a tracking number yet?
I don't think you get them untill the day after they ship, so hopefully tommorow we'll start getting them.

Right.... knew that, but Overkill said his shipped today.... so I was wondering.
Yeah... I am just wondering who DID get a DVD drive. Adam said they had a limited #, so it is possible some with DVDs and none of the other stuff would still have shipped today...

*im saying this alot to myself, since i fall into that category.. lol*
