The 'other' forum usually reports on 'which days worth' of Sagers shipped. They didn't report today.

i tried but i couldnt sleep past 8am. ups says its out for delivery. ahh!!

11:42am- ups is soooo slow. ive already seen the fedex guy deliver to my street...not like ive been watching out the window or anything.

1:49pm- my legs are tired from walking to the window everytime i hear an engine. if i trip and break an ankle because of slow UPS i will be forced to sue...someone. i'm freakin out, maaaaan!

Hey all,

I heard in the rumour mill from other resellers:

"09-19-03 Update:
Sager is currently sold out of the SXGA+ screen, and the Combo 2X DVD-R/RW drive until next weeks shipment. Orders with those items will begin shipping again next Wednesday. All other orders with payment received by 09-15-03 will have been shipped by the close of business today. "

Interesting rumours...

Here is what we have confirmed with Sager as of today:

We had a bunch of 5680s ship out today, but there is a HUGE PC Torque batch shipping Monday. There will be no systems with the DVDRW combo drive shipping on Monday as they are out of stock. Which leads me to...

Sager is receiving a shipment of the DVDRW combo drive on Monday. Any systems that couldn't go out Monday becuase of them being out of stock will go out Tuesday.

We were not told the SXGA+ screen is out of stock, so I wouldn't be inclined to believe that.

Today, all PC Torque orders up to 9/3 have shipped. Some from 9/3 shipped today, but others had the DVDRW combo drive, so they will go out on Tuesday.

PC Torque is the number one reseller of Sager laptops in the US. Sager has done a great job of keeping us (and in turn sagerforums.com) informed, which we have very much appreciated. We believe this information to be truthful and credible.

Thanks Laura...One Q : If I order on Monday (Botulism has all the details except for the order) will my laptop ship on Tuesday??

Not being greedy...just curious...

Or is there a waiting list that you have to process first ??

Still working on the waiting list... We are up to 9/3 and we still have all the orders from 9/3-9/19 to do first. I would guess it would be about two weeks where we are right now, but that can change when I see what they ship next week.

I ordered my NP5680 from Pc torque on monday ... icant wait.. I miss having a nice sager in my hands... been without a laptop since july 29th and am patiently waiting for tracking.. hheheeh cant wait I heard that a few people didnt recieve thier targus bags that they ordered from PC Torque..am confident and hopeing my order is processed smothly.. THANKS Laura

The backpacks are ALWAYS sent in a different shipment...so yours will be to. They don't always arrive on the same day either. Don't be alarmed, it will come. The computer box will only hold the Sager as it is specialized packaging.

WOOT! My 5680 (3.2GHz, 802.11b, bluetooth, CD-R, 1GB RAM, 60GB 7200RPM & 80GB 4200RPM HDs) arrived this morning at 9:30.

I'm using it now! This thing ROCKS.

The keyboard's great (though it's a bit mushy on the right side). No dead pixels. The badge on the top lid even says, "SAGER" instead of "NOTEBOOK".

Woohoooo!
