Call the phone number daily, which tells me it's in build. The online system just says production, and not even kitting has a date.

Same here also... but I just called dell and they said there was no delay showing (though I doubt that they know) but he told me that most everyone is getting them b4 there estimated ship date. We'll see

Edit: The guy named "Patrick" that I talked to actually really sounded American. Either there English is getting better there or I talked to someone from here... kinda creepy

I am getting the same thing...I can't see how my system will ship before the 18th if it's still building now.

I just wrote them an email asking why exactly people who ordered the same system on the same day are recieving theirs, and mine is sitll being built. This is annoying, and in gunna milk it for free overnight too

i ordered mine 3/09 and it's in boxing, aka the long trek from Malaysia, been boxxing for two days now, and i'm really crossing my fingers it get to TX and ships tomarrow, bt knowing my luck prb not.
specs in sig, so i got the 1.6 and it's on its way

Mine's been in testing for a few days, since Saturday I think. I ordered on the 9th, went into production on the 9th, spent a couple days in kitting, then moved on to testing Saturday. Says the expected ship date is the 22nd, with the expected date of delivery the 24th.

Specs in the sig. Oh, and ordered through Dell Home online, with the $750 coupon.

Still shows In Production with nothing checked after preproduction.

if it hasn't left the build stage by tomorrow... i'm just going to cancel this thing. I will just go buy a laptop somewhere where I'll be treated as an important customer. Also, even if it's status does change, and it isn't shipped on the 18th, I'm gonna be pissed and complain.

Mine has been stuck in boxing for about a week now. I don't understand why it would take a week to put it into a box and tape it closed... My other one that I ordered (for my mom) the same day is out for delivery today same specs. and everything... Dell is so frustrating..

mine has been in the build stage since 3/8 and I called dell and they mentioned to me that they will meet the 3/21 ship date as quoted. I tried to explain to the rep that I would not care so much about the date but more interested in what is causing the delay. backordered item? parts shortage? He stated that he could not give me details until the actual ship date has passed. Wierd.

The longer I deal with dell, the more of a sour taste I get about this company, regardless of how good their pricing are.

I ordered mine on 3/8 and had the 3/21 shipping date and am expecting to receive it tomorrow. Mine is configured very close to yours except I chose WXGA+ and the Intel 2200 card. I can't see WUXGA or the 2915 making a difference. Did you order a TV tuner for it? I see those are currently listed as 'may cause delays'.

hmm... now the list of parts delaying shipping includes the tv tuner, UXGA LCD, and the 6800go. most of us have the last two, so now at least we have a reason for the delay. I would be really surprised if they make the 3/18 ship date for me, and ill be pissed if they dont!

For these parts that show up on the site as "may cause delay," should it even apply to us since we ordered the laptops before the parts become "scarce"?

Yep I'm in the same boat as most of you. I'm Inproduction on the web site and If I call in it says I'm in the build stage, which I've been in for 4 days now. I've sent and email and got 2 conflicting answers, I've called and been told there isn't a delay and that it still should ship on 3/21 like the web site says.

I will say that my brother-in-law odered a desktop, 4200 I think, a few weeks back and his order was in testing for like a week and then bam show'd up on his door the next day.

It almost seems like they have 2 or 3 differnt places they are manufacturing these thing at and 1 of them has their act together and the others don't.
