Come Dell, how long does it take!!!
Order in (starts building)
Build, put Ram in, CPU + heat sink, GPU, HDD (6 hours)
Install OS (2 hours)
Test (6 hours)
Box (30 minutes)
Ships

I bet all that could be done in 24 hours!

1~5 days later the product arrives

no tv tuner on my order but when I ordered it on 3/8, it made it to production within 24hours. Then it just stayed that way for the last week. I also checked via phone and it's the same outcome. Very doubtful that my notebook will be shipped on 3/21. Can't wait to hear dell's excuse on this one.

Ordered 3/8....was sitting in Pre forever it seemed. Just looked and now its in Production with "checks" in all three boxes......so Boxing to come. Surprised to see some in here ordered a day later then mine but are ahead in the process. I didn't order anything special.......though I did add the Dell Case...better not say I9200 on it!

I ordered mine on 03/08/09 then canceled
Re-ordered on 03/09 and took advantage of the 35% coupon

Called Dell today and asked why I was STUCK in the build stage. I was told that they was waiting on a part, and GUESS what part is was? They told me the LCD. 03/25 is my ship date, as it has been since the day I ordered.

Mine was just moved to "shipped". Ordered the 9th. Delivery date of the 24th. Shipped on the 16th. Should have it well before the 24th then, in a couple days.

same here, mine should of shipped on the 21 but it shipped today 16, I will get my laptop tomorrow the 17.

if i'm in the build stage at this time tomorrow. I will call them and if they don't give me something to make me happy, i'm just gonna cancel and order something from somewhere else.

Ordered 3/8, but "Inproduction: Build" (according to phone) ever since

Estimated ship date still 3/21

Well I ordered mine on the 5th, Kitting Build Testing done by the 7th. And have been stuck in boxing since then. Supposed to ship by the 18th. Who knows though...

Since mine went into "shipped" just yesterday, I figured it wouldn't be here till early next week. I looked on my order status today and it had a UPS tracking number. Again, I figured that would just be the "we have recieved the information" bla bla they usually put there, BUT it's actually out for delivery today. SWEET!

Well called to check the status of mine and .... it's still in boxing. That makes it at day 10. I didn't realize it was such a hard job of putting the 9300 into a box. VERY frustrated with dell right now..

i spoke to a dell CSR today. Very nice lady. Told me that my laptop SHOULD ship tomorrow. Not showing any delays. My order being stuck in building is common and usually changes to shipped suddenly. She upgraded my shipping to next day. But I can't get the free printer that was advertised when I bought my laptop because i already have too many deals on my laptop. Including free memory upgrade, free cd-rw upgrade, free shipping upgrade, free wireless card upgrade, +35% off. So I can't get the printer. She has me confident that it will ship tomorrow. If it doesn't I can always call back

I got the same line from my csr today, but I'm not as confident. Maddawg, I think you and I are two of the longest waiters left. Sure would be nice to be surprised tomorrow. Have you tried asking for a Sony Xbrite screen yet?
