A happy Acer tech support story....

I find that most of the posts regarding tech support and warranty service from any company usually end up being the horror stories that people have run into, so I thought I would post my recent positive experience, in case anyone is considering purchasing an Acer.

I bought my Ferrari 3400 in November, from a Canadian internet reseller (bytewize.ca) as I live in Canada, and since day 1 I was having some troubles with the video on it. The screen would sometimes go all fuzzy and resetting it wouldn't even fix it.

Well a couple weeks ago the video card just up and died.

I called Acer, after 1/2 an hour on hold, I got through, explained the problem, they emailed me a shipping label and instructions on how to package it up. The next day Purolator stopped by and picked up the package. 2 days later I received an email from Acer stating that they had received my lappy. 6 days after that I received another email stating that the laptop was on its way back. 2 days following that it's back in my possession and works like a charm

Shipping times may be longer in other countries, but I would say its not a bad turn-around when shipping is involved.

Glad things went smoothly, i take it you still had the warenteer for it? But im generally happy with my deal here in the UK. I have not had the chance to contact them again since buying my laptop off them (touch wood) but I'm sure the people you were dealing with were actually bothered to help you. :P
