Age of 9300 buyers vs Age of XPS buyers - Page 7

So those old old computers may have had (games)

Nothing that

Ninja Spirit
Battle Through Time
Cybernoid 2
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game

on the Comm 64 couldnt beat.

Then Super Mario 3 caught my eye and converted me into a freak. I still play the stupid game even though I could just as easily sign into Doom3/Eve online/WoW/NWN/ or any other frekin game I have for that matter.

Too much free time today I guess.
Looks like there is a slight age bias where XPS2 owners are Older.
If you have not repored in yet, please still do so. I have a nice xls doc that I can add data to eaisly.

Older tend to have more disposable income.

My brother is thinking of getting an i9300, he is 25 and going to be married in July. He is a music teacher lower salary is why he choose i9300 over XPS2.

That was a nice chart. I haven't really been following this thread since it's mostly people just posting age and laptop tpye, but now I'm all re-excited since my XPS2 is in production.

So far, I'm the oldest (50), so I should get something... Maybe I'll put "AARP" in the XPS2 personalization shield.

Well I can tell you why the older folks are buying the XPS, they can afford it. Like old people and nice sports cars, they have been working there whole life and can now afford the car they wanted when they were young and poor

nice work!

42 - XPS2 (65% work / 35% play)

I'm not a really serious gamer (still learning about overclocking) but I do like my toys especially cutting-edge like XPS2

my other playmates include...
2002 SLP TRANS AM FIREHAWK
2002 SLP CAMARO SS Z-28

Back (waaayyyy back) when I was in high school my auto mechanics teacher said "a corvette is built for a young man and priced for an old man." But I prefer "mid-life crisis on wheels."

So does this make the XPS a "mid-life crisis in silicon?" It's cheaper than a trophy wife I guess

(Disclosure: 36, still on XPS Gen 1)
