So, my girlfriend wants a pink laptop.

Hey people

My girlfriend is 100% set on getting a pink laptop. She doesn't really care about specs, but something light with good battery life would be cool. Doesn't have to play games well, but if it could play basic games that'd be cool.

I've searched around for a bit, and short of buying a Mac (which is out of the question), I can't seem to find any pink laptops.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for the help!

You can't get a pink mac - that said whats wrong with them.

There are some tutorials hanging around on how to paint your own but alongside that I don't see one existing...

Wow, you're right. For some reason I thought there were pink macs. Maybe I was just looking at the ipods . Nothing wrong with macs, but she's used PC's all her life and doesn't really want to change over.

Madness! She loves Hello Kitty stuff. A bit pricey, but still good. Thanks .

Suggestion

doesn't the company voodoo have a pink laptop..I am sure they do and l think that is their cheapest model...lol....so that may be as expensive as the macs (but isn't as expensive as voodoo) -ticked off the mac lovers there..lol..

Go here...they are available in 10 different colours, including pink.

if you get one for your gf BUy my piggy mouse!!!!!!! $5 plus shipping!!!

you can get any laptop you want, either paint it pink (i suggest a clear coat as well x2) or you can vinyl the laptop, you can get hyper metalic pink vinyl, vinyl can actually come in all colors so you can get a base layer of vinyl and have graphics cut out and pasted overtop of the base layer just like cars off teh fast and the furious!!!!!!!!!!!!

CoffeeShark: That machine is a real beauty!

Apparently, the CL56 seems to be a good candidate for a custom paint job.
With the many companies out there that do custom machines with custom paint jobs (hypersonic comes to mind), someone has to be willing to do pink.

There's a company called ********* that paints mac stuff: ibooks, ipods, mac minis, game consoles, etc - *********pc.com

If you're going to paint a laptop, Smooth Creations quoted me a good price for my CL56. (smooth-creations.com) YMMV, of course.

okay, i seem to have mentioned a company that I'm not allowed to mention. Oops.

Anyhow, there's a company that specializes in mac products.

I bet pctorque has pink options too.

I should also suggest the alternate, getting a vinyl skin (like $30) from someone what polygfx.com. There are other places that do them too. (zeus pc, for example) This is a bit cheaper, but it's not a fancy paint job.

Actually, that looks like the same model as a 486 laptop (offbrand, but identical to what Sager was selling at that time, 1993) that I still have. Still works, too. Hm.

This is why technology and chicks don't mix.

...although the pink Envy from voodoo looks like something a pimp would use.

CyberpowerSystems and Ibuypower has reasonably priced painted pink notebooks with nice specs. Is that Hello Kitty NEC one just decals or painted on?
