Sorry, man. Maybe it's got something to do with it being a laptop? In any event, definitely call--they should be able to give you an answer as to what is the holdup, and unless it's a missing part I'm not sure why you'd be stuck in phase 9 for so long.
I also have a FedEx question--my Aurora is due to be delivered this Saturday. Of course, I'm going across state to visit my folks over the Easter holiday so I won't be here. I live in a small apartment building (renovated National Guard Armory, actually). They're not actually going to leave my $3000+ computer on the doorstep, are they? (And Alienware has the non-distinctive boxes that don't reveal what's in it, of course...)
I looked around the FedEx site but that's the most user-unfriendly site I've seen in a while--all the support is geared to the shipper, not the shippee. My job's pretty flexible so I can work Monday at home if I need to, but I'm just terrified at them delivering the system to my front door and me not being here for 36 hours or so. (The only reason I had it delivered here and not the office was because I drive a small car and there's no way I could fit the thing inside it but now I'm regretting that decision--I could have always borrowed somebody's car. It's always something.
