The Acer screen looks like it's brighter, but the colors seem like they're a little off.

The 9300 looks way better. There is alot more depth in the colors.

Yes, it sure looks that way in the pictures, but how would you really be able to tell unless you actually see them both side by side with your own eyes and have the freedom to tune each display's brightness and contrast settings in your own lighting environment? Pictures can look better or worse depending on many factors, not the least of which is the exposure settings of each shot. I'll bet everyone would say the Sony screen looks better in the pictures if the photos were taken at a darker exposure setting.

Acer?

That honestly does not look like much that a color/contract/brightness tweaking couldnt handle.

The Sony screen looks brighter, but both are still very good.

There seems to be at least a couple of accounts already by people who have both screens that the Dell 9300 screen simply doesn't quite measure up to the Sony, not just in terms of brightness, but in other factors like "sparkliness" and light leakage (which no one has reported for the Sonys, but are the main cause for several people returning or replacing their 9300's already).

TrueLife?

You did not mention if this was a Dell TrueLife screen or not. Im assuming it is because its WUXGA. But is it?

Can you also post a picture to compare with the samsung monitor you have at the back?

Oh man, then dell screen looks very good. Color looks more true compared to the sony... The sony I think looks to white/grey washed out.
