i6000 LCD casing problem..

See the pic below...I just got my i6000 and I notice a small problem with the casing on the screen. At the base of the display(where the dell logo is) there is a gap between the case and the screen. This doesn't seem right. Anyone else with this problem?

I think they all have it. My guess is that it's designed in there to help cool the lcd bulb.

I've read this before. Basically you can push the lower part in and it taps agains the lcd? I think this is they way they all are.

I asked this same question a week or so ago. Got no real responses. Mine does the same thing. Irritating but not enough to make me return the laptop. I love it in almost every other regard.

On my I6000 the gap is really very small.
Since I don't eat around my PC I'm not too concerned about crumbs and so on getting in to their. It's almost like the manufacturing of that section of the screen is just a few millimeters too long and so it bows out when they tighten the screws.

Same here. There's no big gap on my screen and the Dell logo. Seems it depends on the Malaysian folks who assembled it.

my 6000 also has a small gap. the 9200 I have has a bigger one. I believe it helps it cool the screen because the 9200 gets pretty hot there.
