New Fujitsu Amilo M4438/M3438 (17" WUXGA/WXGA+ Centrino) - Page 5

Hi Shade,

1) If there is an Austrian (or regional) Fujitsu website, it usually tells you which retailers stock their laptops. That's how I found out which retailers stocked them here in the UK. (In my case I got mine from www.LaptopsDirect.co.uk)

I've just checked for you, this is the Austrian branch of Fujitsu: http://www.fujitsu-siemens.at/

Your local retailers should be on there somewhere.

2) The burner can read at 24x (CD) and 8x (DVD).

And it can write: CD-R (24x), CD-RW (20x), DVD-R (6x), DVD+R (6x), DVD-RW (4x), DVD+RW (4x), and DVD+R DL dual-layer 8.5Gb (2.4x).

(The brackets show the speed).

It's a very flexible disc burner.

You could also try ringing Fujitsu Austria to see if they can offer you a better price.

Fujitsu's own data sheet must be wrong, then.

Actually I meant in general as in I asked the question from anyone who reads this thread. But I'll check back to you, R.

So again, it would help a whole lot if someone would tell me what Forceware version they are using and most importantly is the version you are using safe.
I use the 78.11 with modified .inf from laptopvideo2go. Slightly OC it gives me about 3950 in 3dMark05 (can't remember the exact number of points). I have tried the latest 81.85 which performed terrible. This seems to be a general problem with th FS's. Check out this thread for more info: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/...50&#entry22009
