ok in the review it has the specs for the LCD, the contrast and britness ratios. How do these compair to the others out there, like the 3790, or 7620.
Also i need a lapy the 4880 seems perfect spec wist but with the review dissing the screen it is a big neg. for me... or am i wrong?
I dont need a super wide viewing angle, or uxga, i think the sxga is fine for me for now. I need a lcd thats good for color work. I use calibration equpt. so i can set it to the best it will get, but is this lcd good enough for this, is it atleast better than a typical sony vio xga?
also anyone who works color critical w/ sagers your input on how easy they are to adjst/hold color would be great

I'd also like to know if there's a way to adjust the color. AFAIK, the only thing I can change is the brightness (with Fn+F_ keys)

Can any one from PC torque help us on this one? They did the reviews on the lapys, i guess they would be one of the best.

the screen has a really bad viewing angle. if your doing graphics and you have a crappy viewing angel, the color you put on might not be correct when viewing on a better LCD.

Yes, you can fully adjust gamma, brightness, contrast. There's also the "color management" tab for color profiles in the ATI control panel for the X700 that's loaded on our test model. It's the same control panel you see with most ATI desktop drivers/software package.

There's also the Fn shortkut keys to quick adjust the brightness.

Thank you. Can you also describe how bad/good the screen on the 4880 is, is it just bad for odd angle viewing, or just bad?
I will be doing graphics and color criticcal digital photography (on the road... i use CRT's at home) Would this screen be good for this work, or should i get a 3790, or just waite, any news on a second screen option. I need to order with in the next month.
thanks

I don't know what to say about it I didn't already say in the review... the pics show it all. It doesn't always appear as bad as the pics show they are a bit extreme looking from the picture being displayed and the room lighting. I haven't used any professional color calibrators to test it for how true the colors are for working with graphics and pictures that need dialed in that well.

Thanks Adam, Im just worried about ordering this to do graphics and pics on and the LCD simply sucking. (the rest of the specks seem to be great) It seems like it is just bad viewing angles, not general quality, am I correct? Also do you have the LCD specks for the 3790 and 7620 (the contrast ratio, brightness etc, I have looked everywere and can not find these.
thanks again
