New Drivers: Audigy 2 ZS Notebook -Audio through noteboook speakers - Page 3

I've bought this card today and i've got problem ... I'm using last drivers 2.03.0 and the last utilities and i've no sound with WMP or other application in my laptop speakers (earphones works). But when i'm testing the configuration with the creative sound utility (with the feature to set the advanced mode and playing sound through the laptop speakers), i've got sound at the 3d time during the test. I can hear the sound. But with an another application, nothing.

I've set the volume to max for my realtek and choose the SB as default output card in my system.

I'm using 1.15 drivers for my realtek card. I've also tried 2.05.00 beta driver for the audigy ... please help

What driver for the realtek and the audigy do you use ?

News : i've noticed something : when i'm using the test button and play with the SB sound volume, the sound volume doesn't change. But if i change the realtek sound volume it changes ... For me, it's always the realtek sound card which works ... but i've choose the SB as defaut sound output ... i don't understand.

I'm on my way out of town for 3 days, if nobody has posted by the time I get back, I'll test it for you.

Sorry I don't have time now.

Beefshank,

I've the lag problem in HL2 with the 2.03 drivers. I'm using now 2.05 beta driver and i've got no lag in HL2. I will test it more deeply and give you my results.

I'm glad you reminded me, as I had totally forgotten. sorry.

So I tried the "speaker setting" audigy program, and set it to 4/4.1 and 5/5.1 and both only gave sound out of the "front left" and "front right" channels. But the test voice seemed to be coming out of front and back speakers when it spoke.

So I guess that means no, it doesn't seem to support surround sound thru the laptop speakers.

Sorry, wish I had better news for you. I do love the card though, makes gaming much more fun!
