Warning: European nc6100 series comes only with a 1-year warranty

So far, computers in the nc line have had a 3-year warranty standard, but this appears no longer be the case. European nc6100 series comes with only a 1-year warranty. To make things more complicated, the US version has a 3-year warranty standard.

Please HP, stop the confusion and upgrade the Euro models' warranty to 3 years, or change their line to nx!

Well actually NC6000 came with both 1 year and 3 year warranty as well.
True, most models were 3 year, but I just bought one that had only 1 year.
Model is DP894 (1.6 banias,CD-RW/DVD,14" XGA,9600 64MB,30GB 5400) and I had to pay 140€ extra for 3 year warranty.

BTW lappy was still cheaper then NC6120 with 1 year warranty and way cheaper then similarly equiped T42 and NC6220 (both 3 year), so I think I got great deal, by EU standards anyway and hopefully was well worth the wait and countless delibarations over what to buy
