9300 vs XPS2

Hi! Sweden here.

I'm wondering about the real difference between the 9300 and the XPS2...

The only thing I can find is 6800 vs. 6800 ultra but as 9300 have PCI X does it matter? Couldn't I just get a better graphic card later?

The other thing is a little more makeup on XPS 2... Might be important for some.

And also the faster LAN.

Is there any other difference?

Kiri: You might want to look up the difference between PCI-X and PCI-E as they have nothing to do with each other. The GPU upgradability of the 9300 is hardly unlikely, and the fact is that while the XPS1 offered upgrade of the GPU once, it is nowhere to be read on the XPS2 (at least I can't find it). My point is that a feature like that would be really attractive and therefore clearly marketed with the product if it existed.

I'm holding off for the XPS2 since it will soon be available in England and I don't think it will be too long until it arrives to the rest of Europe (I'm from Sweden too ). The design and the better GPU is what makes me wait.

The press release for the XPS2 stated that an upgrade for the GPU is possible, I guess only time will tell.

Yes, it was indeed mentioned in the XPS2 press release. Link.

Oh, and people have gotten quotes from Dell Norway already, so if you call them in Sweden I am sure you can get one too.

Ah, nice with an upgrade for the XPS2. And even better that I could order it!

Hmmmm... I'll guess Iäll go for the XPS2 then, like the benchmarks.

Just to make a story long I called Dell in Sweden ans asked if would be possible to upgrade the GPU, they said yes... Guess they dont know everything then
