I got nothing better to than wait.

I just love this pic.

Then again, I have had a thing for red heads and mermaids since the movie "The Little Mermaid" came out in 1989. I was 15, Ariel was 16. She was an older woman back then....... HEY its all innocent. Dont think like that!!!! My second daughters middle name is Ariel. It was my wife's idea too.

Can someone with the 6800 card download the 132Mb demo and tell me how cool it looks.
http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_nalu_downloads.html

The demo is in a folder with 3Dmark05 as one of the first apps to install when my XPS2 gets here.

I does not run on my pc.
I belive you need an nVidia 6600 or 6800 card to run it.

Here is another pic

Thanks for the reply.
Is it just her swimming around?
I picture her hair moving in the watter with light beams comming from above the water creating shimmering look to show off the graphic capabilities.

Daddyof2Girls,
We have the same taste in women and cars. My over clocked ATI 9700 would not run her either. As far as cars I had a blood red Saleen but sold it to build a 450 hp Kenny Brown SC Thunderbird that I sometimes drive but that may go if the 06 Shelby Mustang really does have 550 hp and can be had for under 50K. Maybe he had a bad experience with a Siren. They are the evil form of mermaids.

Sweet. That proves works on a 1400 as well. Makes sense. It throws an error on my machine like its checking the video card to make sure I have an nVidia card.

Glad that I am not the only Mustang/Mermaid lover out there. My wife thinks i am kinda odd. But she knew all this before she married me. And she still married me. Those are some sweet sounding rides. I test drove a Saleen at a used car lot once. I loved the deep sound of the engine roar.

it's just checking for ps3.0 support (nv40 feature). no demo of theirs ever checked for the videocard directly, but since they all used very nvidia-specific extensions liberally, they didn't really have to.

I downloaded and installed that for fun. Wow, it really has a nice lil demonstration of lighting realism.

Run the demo on the Sharp Actius AL3DU ... it has a GeForce 6600 Go backed onto a free-viewing 3D display (no need for 3D glasses) ... then she'll REALLY pop out of the screen at you

I certainly wouldn't kick her out of my pool. . .
