Hello. I am new to the forums, but I hope to be a regular with time.
I recently aquired a Acer Laptop from my sister. I know a lot about desktop pcs, but this was only my second laptop. My first being an old Dell. I don't remember it's specifications, but that's irrelavent. Anyways, this laptop had no harddrive. She removed it and lost it, and its nowhere to be found. I figured that I would just use my Dell's harddrive since it broke a while ago. That hd is an 4200RPM IBM Travelstar. I managed to take the laptop apart and I began inserting the drive, when I noticed that it didn't connect properly. The IBM Harddrive that I have uses a 2.5" ribbon, whereas, the acer laptop doesn't accept that connector. I don't want to get a new acer harddrive since they are so expensive, and I want to use this Travelstar.
Does the Acer 600TER have a case that I can purchase that I can put my Travelstar in and then slide that case into my laptop, or what? Please help me out with my delima. Much thanks in advanced.
