No, its not hard to change the drives out as long at you know that they are the same physical size and have the same connectors. In the case of an HD, and 9mm 2.5' EIDE HD available on the market today will fit in the 9300. As far as the optical drives go, I think most slim-factor optical drives will fit the 9300. I know the NEC-6500A that you can buy from Newegg will fit. With the optical drives, I think it is a matter of availability because they are not widely available everywhere. As long as you can get the Bluetooth module and the connecting cable from Dell Spareparts, its really easy. I think you only have to remove 1 screw from the bottom panel....plug the cable to both the computer and the module and then close it back up. Hope this helps.
