9300 Order Delayed email from Dell

Just came to my inbox...and my 9300 is in the boxing stage! WTF!

Dear Valued Customer,
We have reviewed your order. Although we had anticipated being able to ship your order sooner, we are experiencing an unexpected delay with your order xxxxxxx and will not be able to ship this order and any associated orders until on or before 03-25-2005.

Mine was supposed to ship today. I'm hoping that this is just an automatic email sent by Dell that adds another 7 days if something hasn't shipped by it's shipped date. I'm clinging to hope that mine ships Monday. It's been in boxing for 2 days.

i ordered mine on the the 9th and is still stuck in production... the original ship date is the 22nd... i called them today and was told that there will be a delay on my order because of the Go 6800... i asked her how come i was not notified of this... she stated that i would get an email on the 22nd explaining the delay... i guess if i hadden call i wouldn't have known about this delay till the 22nd... would've been nice to know in advance...

i ordered 3/7 with a ship date of 3/18.

I ordered on the same day and they decide to let me know of the delay the day it was supposed to be shipped. I'm going to call them to ask for the free 2 day shipping.

I suppose you wouldn't then be amused that I ordered 3/9 and have recieved mine as of thirty minutes ago then?

* I had requested the two day shipping, they downgraded me to "ground" but its still here early

Mine is in the boxing stage right now and I ordered a 6800Go. I hope I dont get the email! I ordered on 03/14, est ship date is 03/28.

I imagine in the boxing stage they are putting the laptop in a box with the extra pieces. I ordered an extra ac adapter, battery, and quicksnap (cherrywood, WOOT). Illwafer, what extras did you order?

Ordered mine the 10th with an estimated ship date of the 28th. I hope I don't get a dear John letter delaying mine. But if I do, I won't hesitate to call. I have bought enough from them.

Damn it, I didn't even get an email for my 3/5 order, and I'm still in the Build stage. I have another call into my original sales rep, since the Indian CSR connection was getting me no where. This blows.

I just called in again and was told that there is a hold on my order because of the LCD screen and the graphics card. They still claim that it will ship on 3/21, right, but for the life of me those people won't upgrade my shipping.

Granted I haven't played angry consumer yet, just inquiring into my order status consumer. I'm resering angry consumer for Monday when my laptop doesn't ship and I've been told 2 times now that it will.

I got the order delayed e-mail for my m70 which was supposed to ship yesterday. It had been done testing since tuesday! I called and told I was considering cancelling. Eventually I asked the representative what he could do for me...
He said he could "expidite the order", and asked if I wanted him to.

I said "yes!", why the heck would I NOT want them to expidite the order, LOL

then the order shipped 1 day after I asked for the expidite.

it's kind of funny... if they have the power to be reliable like this, why don't they just do it automatically?

I've been asked by each csr i talk to if I want my order expedited, and of course I answer yes each time. Hasn't helped yet. And my sales rep hasn't called back now in over an hour, when they told me they would call back right after they got off another call. Makes me think something has gone horribly wrong with my 9300 and they are avoiding me.

Hmm, just checked my email..no message. Ordered 3/8. Last look (yesterday) showed in production......


Edit! Just checked the Dell site....It's Shipped!!!!!!!!!!!!! YeHaw!!!!!

Thats a few days early...was due to ship 3/21.....

Well theres a whole bunch of us who ordered 3/8 with a ship date of 3/21, either we'll all be happy next week, or Dell will get a whole bunch of angry calls
