compaq x1000 sound problem

I have a compaq x1000 notebook, and the sound is messed up. I have updated the drivers, and done everything else I can think of. Any help would be greatly appreciated.


If you want my specs:

Centrino 1.7 ghz
1 gb ram
radeon 9200 64 mb
60 gb hd w/ 5400 rpm
windows xp pro
