Dell 9300 vs. 6000d

Hi all,

I thought I had made up my mind to get the 9300, but then I found the 6000d

The 15.4" vs 17" screen is fine by me

Now about the video card:
I won't be doing any gaming, but I will be doing video editing.
Does the video card matter as much for editing?
Can I get away with the x300, vs. the go 6800 on the 9300?

I'd go with the 2 Ghz 760 with 1 gb RAM and the DVD +/- RW
Are any of the hard drives offered faster than 4200 RPM?

Other than that, I don't see that many major differences, and the 6000d is much cheaper.

Any thoughts?
Thanks!

I have the 6000d and do some video editing. I haven't had any problems so far whatsoever. it's actually faster than my athlon desktop with the new radeon all in wonder card. I honestly don't think you'll be upset with the purchase even though a some will say how much better the 6800 video card is. I'm of the opinion that if you don't play games (neither do I) you will have no problems whatsoever with the x300. As for the hard drives I went with the 80gb and it's a 5400 rpm fujitsu mht2080ah. I've never even heard the hard drive, so based on other posts on the forum I would guess it's quieter than the 7200 rpm 60gb hard drive option. I also haven't noticed the hard drive being any slower than any other drive either. I honestly think the only way you would notice it is if you were running benchmarks. then again I'm used to using a 2yr old athlon desktop so you may notice the difference if you are used to a really cutting edge desktop.
