I emailed Tech support.
Below is a copy of my email: At the end they are sending me the Samsung W9892
"Good Day Dell,
My name is Michael Lopez and I work for NBC Universal. I recently
purchase an Inspiron 9300 and received the unit a few days ago. Upon
expection of the system's LCD. I found it to exhibiting light
leakage(not cracked) from the bottom near the center area. Also there
are two noticable dark spots on each of the bottom corner of the screen.
To top off all of these issues, the LCD also exhibiting sparkles through
out it's entire viewing area. I am requesting a LCD replacement to be
sent so I may rectify this issue. If you look at my account history, I
had the same problem with the Inspiron 9200 I owned previously and when
your company sent me the replacement screen, it solved the issue. The
LCD replacement will be done in a clean room at our Universal Orlando
Tech Services building as was the previous work done for the 9200. Now,
please I beg of you, do not send me another LCD part#J9662 (LPL0000).
This is the philips screen and the problems are all steming from their
screens. I am requesting LCD part# K9922 (Samsung)screen as a
replacement. As a Technical Coordinator for NBCuniversal, I am familiar
A/V products especially LCDs. We deal with them on a daily basis. Your
staff extended me, great service and response the last time I had a
problem. I hope for the same service. I can not send the unit back in as
I already have vital NBCuniversal information on it which I need in
conjunction with work. Again I can not return for exchange. I just want
a LCD replacement please. Look forward to your response."
That's all a simple email.
Oh, the old LCD gets sent back via DHL. Dell pays for it.
