Disabling 7700 on-board mic.

Anyone know how to disable the onboard mic on the 7700. I seem to be getting a lot of feedback from the onboard mic when I use my mic./headphone combination to net chat.

Anyone got any feedback on the sound quality of the onboard mic. for a net chat?

never use on board mics for net chat, get a headset - and use Skype. The best quality net chat around IMO. Clicky

The Plantronics DSP-500 headset is great. The headphones have 40mm bass speakers, so the sound quality is excellent, and the mic's the best I've used with a headset. It does an excellent job of capturing important stuff and filtering out the rest.

Plantronics provide professional headset solutions to call centres, that is why their gear is good.
