i9300 6-cell battery life

I just run a quick test on my i9300. The battery led turned orange after 100 minutes. It was 10% left. I think the 6-cell battery life will be 1:50 or maybe 2 hours top. The screen was on full brightness and Wi-Fi was on all the time. I did a 30-minute updating office and 70-minute surfing Internet, of course notebookforum.com. I was hoping to get at least 2:30 battery life. Should get a 9-cell.
BTW, my i9300 is 7.94 lb and the returned i8600 is 7.14 lb.

Actually that seems pretty decent for this laptop. Wifi is a major power user, but the screen is probably the most power hungry item you have. I bet if you turned the video card and backlight down you could squeeze the 2:30 out of it. Has anyone tested how low you can underclock a GPU? I wonder this, I would only need it to have enough power to surf or watch DVDs. I wish someone with this lappy would test that.

Actually I think the most power-hungry part is the nVidia 6800 Go, you could clock it down while not using 3D rendering without any side-effects.(You may even benefit from the GPU running cooler since the fan won't need to be on.)
