It was kinda weird: Went from "Pre-production" (no checks on anything) to "Boxing" with checks on "Kitting," "Build" and "Testing" in a single day! "Boxing" has now become a link back to the descriptions of all the stages. I'm assuming it's in "Boxing" now then, correct?

Well, I gave them a call to find out which LCD I got. Talked to a tech (India outsource), who was very helpful. Told me, first of all, only 2 screens were being shipped: WUXGA and WXGA+. Then I mentioned that owners of current 9300's were reporting 2 brands of the WUXGA screen. Anyway, to make a long story short, he told me I got the Samsung (thankfully). All that to say, give'em a call. I did have to wait about 10 minutes though, but it was worth it for the peace of mind.

Maybe you ordered the same package as the one who canceled it

Ordered mine in the 14th, still says its InProduction.
Called support, and they said it was because they were back ordered on some parts, but they don't know which parts. Said they would call me back tomorrow.

Blah.

WTH... my order is in "Boxing" for the last two days and now I just received this email from Dell:

Dear Valued Customer,
We have reviewed your order. Although we had anticipated being able to ship your order sooner, we are experiencing an unexpected delay with your order XXXXXXXXX and will not be able to ship this order and any associated orders until on or before 03-29-2005.

Damn, what should I do..? I'm thinking of cancelling this order and re-order with the 35% of coupon flying around... that would save me another $80 plus an addition of Bluetooth which I forgot last time...

HA! The 14th. You've only been waiting for 8 days. I ordered on the 7th...and mine still hasn't shipped.

Mines in boxing to, and have also gotten the delay email (yesterday), they say the 28th now, as opposed to the original 21st

Same here... delayed from 03/21 to 03/28.. been in boxing for 2 days.. which basically means jack shit.. since it's not really in boxing otherwise it would have shipped by now.. don't rely on their order status...

Well, to be honest, I ordered mine on the 7th also, but because of complications with my SB account (I used my old business account, but I now work at Microsoft), my order didn't actually get processed until the 14th.

you guys obviously dont' understand the boxing status, they put it in the box witha ll the stuff, and then ship it from one of the two manufactoring plants, either in Ireland or Malyasia, to the states. I'm not sure exactly when it goes to shipping, but when it does its gonna be in the US at the time, or Canada or UK or wherever u ordered. Obviously if you order from Malyasia or ireland ur gonna get yours faster than if you live in the US.

My 9300 went into the boxing stage this morning. This afternoon I got a call from Dell telling me my 9300 had shipped. "Great, tell me the service tag," I say. "Hmm, I can't seem to find it," he says, "I'll call you back." I get a call back and then he tells me he made a mistake. Somebody else's 9300 shipped today.

Thanks for the courtesy call, Dell.

well i did it, cancelled my delayed order and re-ordered with the 35% of coupon... check this out, with the 35% coupon i added the Bluetooth, DVD Writer, and 2nd day shipping and the price still comes out $42 cheaper than the old setup... as for shipping, the delayed setup is estimated to be ship on 3/29 where as the new setup on 4/6, about a week... no bad at all...

oh by the way, the first setup was ordered using a 35% coupon also, but thur Small Business and the new setup thur Home & Home Office... no clue why it's so much cheaper... i know you have to paid sales tax thur BS but that was only about $110...

I ordered two i9300's on 3/16. The one with the X300 went into boxing on 3/20 and the one with the NVIDIA went into boxing yesterday morning (3/21). I am hoping one of them ships out tomorrow for Friday delivery, but realistically they won't ship till Thursday/Friday the earliest. At this point I just want the damn service tags so I can see which LCDs they put in mine!

This is so wrong at so many levels.. we've been waiting nearly 14 days... and still nothing happening.. while people are getting theirs in 5 days....
