What game are you going to play on it ? Need for Speed Underground 2 is very nice I hear.

Playing on desktop with Radeon 9600XT /some jitters on games but look forward to real "suspension of disbelief" with 9800 ultra!!

Do like I'm doing, sell your 9100 and find a $750 off coupon!

$2000 dollars for XPS2 w/$750 coupon, sell the 9100 for around 1200-1300.
My system is still going for about 1650 new in dell outlet... so.

Sorry don't know jed, will be busy tomorrow all day on the boat with the predicted weather, but it sucks, Easter Sun supposed to rain around here, sooo will get version #'s then and update and see if any difference...

But other than updating windows and macfee stuff and adding a few programs and a game, this thing is straight from Dell... have not turned off any of the crud that's not needed either..... will be interested to see if culling some stuff and optimizing drivers yields any benefits... prolly be tomorrow night or Sun fore i can test....

So out of the box 5100 with Dell installed drivers, not bad!! CPU and RAM is what was wondering.

Looks to me he ran the benchie with ALL the startup options on etc....look at the lower right hand corner of the screen...

Imagine the score you'll get if you "Disabled" ALL the stuff down there..........

Go to RUN: type in "msconfig" and DISABLE ALL the STARTUP stuff, restart our lappy, set your XP settings to performance and rerun the test...

You should see a significant rise in your results
