Hm...
I wish they would have a new "design" for this laptop. It seems identical to the 3790 except for the chipset / ram / cpu and video card.

Heat problem with the 9700 is bad enough in the summer for the 3790.
I hated how I always pressed one of the front three buttons on my 3790.

I hope people won't find those type of problems in the new version.

Give us some review when you receive it.
click on the link in my signature for the review. To answer a couple of questions posted in this thread, the 6600 is not quite as powerful as the x700 (lower benchmark scores), but is on par in actual use. The Asus Z71V has good battery life, but the new Sager should have better battery life with the 12-cell battery. I'd guess that the upcoming Sager will be hotter and the fan will probably be louder, though, because Clevo notebooks, as a generalization, use more power than Asus notebooks (on a 4400 mAh battery, the Clevo 38AW is likely to get between 2-3 hours battery life max, whereas on the same power battery, the Asus can get 3.5-4 hours). The Azalia sound in the Z71V is fantastic, but I can't tell you if the 4 speakers on the Clevo 38AW will make it better or worse.

just a quick questions about srs WOW. If i hook up the sound through audigy 2 notebook would i still be able to take advantage of this feature?
someone (775) asked this 1000 times already,
but nobody answered. Could I get at least an 'i dont know'?

Does anyone know if the M38AW will have the glossy screen?

Personally I cant find the answer. Maybe someone here knows. thanks
(glossy screen kicks ass)

oh and another thing, stop hinting that they could sell it for 3000+ dollars, we want to keep it low!
I don't know
Nobody ever hinted that they could sell it for 3000 dollars... and they couldn't. They wouldn't sell any, not with the Asus z71v out.

Nobody ever hinted that they could sell it for 3000 dollars... and they couldn't. They wouldn't sell any, not with the Asus z71v out. Also, from what I can tell, this looks to be just a 3790 with updated hardware so... speculate, thats all we can do.

Can't wait to see the review for the M400

Will PC Torque be selling this M38 AW notebook, since it is made by Clevo/Sager right?
YAY!! ITS ALMOST HERE!!!

so would i be right in assuming a price from 1500-1700, since it is so similarly spec'd to the Z71V?

ooooo, maybe when it comes out the prices for both will go down!

you can see on the picture that this laptop don't have glossy screen.
One glossy screen will reflect much more the ambient light.

I'm trying to decide between this Sager/Clevo M38 AW, and the Acer 8104. I play a lot of games but I'm going to be taking this around with me at college too. The Acer 8104 has the mobile X700 128mb in it. Would it be much faster than the M38's GeForce Go 6600?

Acer 8104:

Basically my decision will rely on price, battery life, screen quality, and gaming performance.
