I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...

To answer a couple of questions posted in this thread, the 6600 is not quite as powerful as the x700 (lower benchmark scores), but is on par in actual use. The Asus Z71V has good battery life, but the new Sager should have better battery life with the 12-cell battery. I'd guess that the upcoming Sager will be hotter and the fan will probably be louder, though, because Clevo notebooks, as a generalization, use more power than Asus notebooks (on a 4400 mAh battery, the Clevo 38AW is likely to get between 2-3 hours battery life max, whereas on the same power battery, the Asus can get 3.5-4 hours). The Azalia sound in the Z71V is fantastic, but I can't tell you if the 4 speakers on the Clevo 38AW will make it better or worse.
Nobody ever hinted that they could sell it for 3000 dollars... and they couldn't. They wouldn't sell any, not with the Asus z71v out. Also, from what I can tell, this looks to be just a 3790 with updated hardware so... speculate, thats all we can do.
I'm trying to decide between this Sager/Clevo M38 AW, and the Acer 8104. I play a lot of games but I'm going to be taking this around with me at college too. The Acer 8104 has the mobile X700 128mb in it. Would it be much faster than the M38's GeForce Go 6600?
