The futur sonoma sager notebook revealed - Page 5

The only thing that I can tell you is that the 6600 will perform similar to the x700, but exact scores cannot be obtained since the laptop is not out yet, and the clockspeeds of the 6600 go are unknown.
It will depend on what kind of 6600 Clevo puts in the thing. The one is the Asus z71v is clocked extremely low, yet still scores fairly well (as good as my desktop ). I hope they decide to put this thing at a high clock rate and it performs the same or better than the 4880, then I'm in for sure.

is it still slated to be announced may 1? or have they pushed it back?

If you are refering to Eurocom's shipping date of May 1, well from what I've seen Eurocom's dates are always a little off.

I believe the Hypersonic version of this system is the MX6. I saw an add on their site today for it with a $400 rebate (basically a free red or blue paint job and then $100 off). Priced relatively low (compared to my beast).

Yeah It doesn't look like the pictures of the m38aw we've seen so far.

ahaha when is the sager going to come out. Need to see if it will have the same problems as the z71v has when bruning dvds or cds
post #92 of 97
if this thing doesnt have the sparkly screen of the asus and is easy to dissassemble, the sager would probably steal the whole z71v crowd

cool! i wanted!!
any specific launch date beside the may 1(that is gone)?
Thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't sure which one it was based off from, but I saw it being hyped and thought it might be the one that was being looked for.

Sorry if there was any confusion.

Ditto...the Z71V was lookin' real good (spec wise ), until this little ditty came along. It has the specs and a much sleeker look. My only concern is that I hope it has better heat consumption than the 3790, which seems to be garnering a lot of complaints on these boards. Hopefully the Sonoma platform will resolve it.
