Question about Sound Card

Why is it that great video cards can be integrated into these laptops like the 8890, but the sound cards tend to be lacking so much?

Any word on whether we're going to be seeing much better sound cards in the 8890 for instance, and better amplification?

Actually...I prefer to choose my own sound options...right now getting the Echo Indigo or the Extigy is the best option...

Which begs the question...

I am planning to get the Klipsch Promedia 5.1 Ultras when they release...they dont support SPDIF...so I will also have to get the Klipsch DD decoder...does anyone know how to connect all this hardware together?? If it is gonna be a hassle then i'd rather get the GMX5.1's which retail for $299 and you get a free SWS Klipsch Subwoofer too...
