How many of you having order status "In production" for XPS2

Mine still in Order Processing stage.

Order Date : 16th, March
Modify and Re-Order on 18th, March
Estimated Delivery Date : 28th, March

Please mention whether you are in US or Non-US.

Sounds like you need to give them a call and make sure your order went through. If you are still on order processing then you might have an issue with your credit card or some such.

Ami, I'm in the UK. I ordered on the 16th, found out on the 18th they'd messed up and hadn't got credit clearance. They reordered, and I'm still stuck in pre-processing. I called today and was assured the credit check thing had gone ok. Having said that I was also told it'd go into production Friday or Saturday at the latest!

Edit: I've just phoned them again and apparently the credit check has only just been completed, so I should see some movement tomorrow. On Friday I was told the 28th of March was the est. ship date (and told to ignore the online est.) The guy today gave me the usual 7-10 days line.

UK as well here. Apparently, the automated order status line is not working correctly today. Make sure you talk to a live person. I was told that my order of 17 March is now in production and the estimated shipment date is 1 April.

My status is in "Pre Production".

Mine is "In Production" With Order Processing and Pre-production checked. It's been "In Production" since the middle of last week I think.

I think I might call Dell and complain a little bit.

I have check marks for Order Processing and Pre-production.I am beginning to wonder for those of us stuck in production if the shields/back cover is the hold up.I see that they have an extended lead time of 3 days.I am in the US.

I ordered on the 13th in the US and am still in Production. I too ordered the shields.

in Canada....

I ordered on the 14th, but it wasn't processed until the 18th. Mine was ordered along with several other laptops for our company so perhaps there was a delay due to the business lease.

The Dell Canada web site doesn't seem to have the detail that the US site has when it comes to order tracking. Mine just says "In Production" and doesn't even give an estimated ship date. I'm not holding my breath...I'm expecting mid April.

Very strange! The on-line status check is displaying the status as "Order Processing". Automated telephone status check is telling, "Your order has been delayed. Please call your sales agent."

But when I called CC and asked them about my status. They said that it is in "Pre Production".

Mine has been in production since Friday....
But the Canadian site is kinda stupid in that it doesn't seem to show whether it's in kitting, production or what.... just in production. The rep I talked to on Saturday said I should have it in 2 weeks. I'm not sure how much credance I'm going to put in his statement though, because as my small business rep... he's said things to me before that weren't even close to be true.

I am in the US and am still in Production, the build stage... I too ordered the shields.

Rep said the shields were in and not an issue, however you know how that goes?

Don't know what the hell is going on! On-line status shows the status as "Order processing" but my rep is telling it is "In Production". Who is correct ????

For me online line says in production and everything else is not highlighted

and via phone it says in production in build stage
