I never have problem with dell home crs.. If i dont like the way he answer my questions then i hang up and try another crs and complaint. Make sure you said the last rep gave you such a hard time and ects.. I'm pretty sure the next guy that you talk to will give you compensation toward yours troubles. I have gotten so many concession coupons out of them till they give up.. NO MORE COUPONS FOR THIS PARTICULAR ORDER!.. In other hand i agree that the small business division are much better educated.. If you have a problem they will do a follow up till your problem is solved.. But sb division is a little pricey then home plus the tax kills the deal.. hehe..

Interesting responses, I have to admit some of them have made me think about what I am going to do. I have my sales presentation on Tuesday so I am going to go to either best buy or staples to pick up a laptop to get by. But I am considering doing a reorder of the 9300 in a few weeks just to satisfy my curiousity of the fit of the 9300 for me.

I normally would not order something unless I was sure I would keep it, but with Dell I now have no qualms about doing that. By the time I recieve the laptop now, some other options will be out and I can decide what I want to do then. The Dell will have to be hands down superior, otherwise I am going to go with the other options.

Oh and I did go through small business, my company is only 3 people, but they did have the 35 percent off deal at the time. I will scan coupons over the next few months and see if any other good deals pop up.

Just to let you know tha 35% seems to be on again. Sorry about your bad experience (just thought I might as well say it if everyone else isn't allowed ).

I just have to tell you this MRTB, to make you feel better: 4 Years ago I ordereda desktop, canceled it and reordered. When the original came in I refused it (Per Dell's instructions) and waited for my credit. Never came, I called, emailed, complained everything you can think of, oh, for about 6 months until finally I did a BBB. Magically the problem was solved. I received a heartfelt letter of sorrow from the Dell people who, as a conciliatory gesture told me that my case would be presented in their trainings as "what not to do". Gee, I was so thrilled with that!! HA!

Oh yes, I had to order a new HD for my 2nd desktop (it went bad, like a year after I had it). The 2nd one also went out, literally 4 months later and they would not replace it because it was NOT hardware! WTF! I was sooooo angry and just let them have it and very self righteously informed that no way in hell or high water would I EVER order from you lame ass people again. SOOOO here I am, trying to very sneakily order my new 9300. Maybe they won't remember?

hmm.. interesting... over here in Singapore Dell's sales reps are good.. esp the one that I always ordered my Dells from.. she got a cute voice... just didn't have the chance to meet her in person...
