Found the user manual for the 5680 @ Clevo

Here's the link to the user manual. Watch out, it's 5.34 MB.

The directory for the service manual seems to be empty, but the directory is there.

Enjoy,

The User's Manual will also be on the drivers CD, if Sager continues as it's done in the past.

However, the Service Manual is a good find! 5680 owners should eye that spot with interest.

It is VERY informative. It gives step-by-step instructions how to install Windows 2k and XP drivers.

Anyone know if the version of Nero included is 6 Ultra or Express?

Ok now the question is where is the updated manual for the 8890?
Looks like they moved it. I searched all over their FTP site for it and couldn't find it. Does anyone have an updated link or PM me if you're willing to email or FTP it to me.

Thanks!

The 8887 was the 888E I think the 8890 should be something like that, Eurocom is using 888ES for it and it seems their numbers match clevos usually.. I guess somebody with an 8890 can look at the bottom of the case at the label and can find out and hope clevo updates site soon..

i thought Eurocom was using D800p?

edit: yeah, their 888ES is the older model... they're going with D800p with the 8890 model... which they don't have available just yet.

I have it, PM me with an address and I'll send it. Beware, though, it's 5 MB and most free mail can't handle it. If I have enough requests for it, I'll put it on my website in a private directory.

Oh my bad i saw the 1 listed and since they did have both listed for ordering i just assumed they had ran out of the 8887 model there like sager did.. not like i would buy from them anyway though..

SPIFFY!!! This'll give me some time to check out what I'll be buying. I talked a friend into buying a 5680 too...so he'll love this too.

Except I can't seem to find the Service Manual. Anyone else having this problem?

::EDIT:: Nevermind...I just loaded it up in my FTP program...damn IE...

I would be ordering the laptop this week (like my friend) but some b!tch that used to work in the financial aid department at my school screwed everything up. So now me and my parents have to sort everything out before I can request the $$$ from financial aid...ARGH!!!

So it looks like I won't be able to request the money for at least 1-2 weeks, then it takes another 3 weeks for me to get the money.

Just outta curiosity...is there gonna be something else coming out with in a month or so that might make me change my mind from getting a 5680 to another Sager model?

Did anyone else notice that in the specs area of the manual it states the secondary battery as 4400mah also. Do you think this is a typo?
