Laptop Utilities?

Thread Starter
Hi all,

Could anyone suggest any good [free?] laptop utilities? Namely, power management utilities (windows is a little feature-lacking, imho), processor speed changing (is this possible?), on screen display for special button presses (brightness, volume, wireless on/off...). Any suggestions would be aprreciated.

Thanks

your laptops manufacture should have power management and special button applications for your specific laptop.

as for good apps i recommend

netstumbler
ACDSEE powerpak 7 (best picture viewer and quick photo editor avalible)
Office 2003 (obviously)
Power DVD (has built in power saving features but i never use them)
Registry Mechanic 4 (keeps your registry in check)
diskeeper 9 pro (better than the built in disk defrag for winxp)
spyware blaster (ban's known bad sites in your MSIE browser and its free)
spysweeper (best anti spyware program avalible)
NOD32 (a good antivirus, uses WAY less resources than stupid norton 2004)
