9300 Driver

I'm curious to know what drivers I need to download. I just reformatted my XP on 9300 and am going thru Dell downloading their drivers.

I know I need these drivers:
- Dell QuickSet
- Audio - SIGMATEL STAC 975X AC97
- Intel Mobile Chipset
- Display - Dell E773c
- Dell Inspiron 9300 System BIOS, A02
- Touch pad - Alps GlidePoint/StickPointer, v.5.4.102.12, A09
- Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection , (R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection, (R) PRO/Wireless Network Connection, v.9.0.0.61, 9.0.1.57, A08
- nVidia GeForce Go 6800, v.6.14.10.6771, A00


But what I don't know is do I need these drivers below?
- Dell Notebook System Software, v.3.6.0, A16 (im assuming this is important)
- Dell MediaDirect
- Communication Drivers - Conexant D110,MDC,1.5,v.92 (don't know what that is)
- TEAC DV-28EC 8X Slim DVD, v.D.4D, A01 (is this for DVD Dual writer?)

Quickset is optional as well as the touchpad driver. Your computer will work fine without either and the Dell Notebook System Software is unnecessary. BTW, you only need the Display - Dell E773c driver if you actually plan on using that particular external monitor.

The Conexant D110 be yo' modem dude!!!

Ahh thanks! Then i'll be adding Conexant D110. How about that DVD driver.. Do i need it?

It's a firmware update for that particular DVD drive...depends on whether that model Teac is installed in your notebook.

Anyone know if these MDC (modem daughter card) modems work only on dells (or certain dells)? Or is this MDC label a universal form factor and you can use these modems on essentially all laptops adhering to this standard?
