disable start sound on s270

I use my Sony Vaio S270P in class and when I switch it on it makes that annoying sony sound really loud. How do I disable that?

I have an s360....found a setting in the bios that said startup sound - I set to 0 - it hasn't made the startup noise since...not sure if this is the correct way to do it (especially since we have different machines) but it has worked so far for me without any problems for over a week.

You can also do it via VAIO Control Center->Initial Setting.
