Damn, that sucks though. FedEx comes too late in the day.
You should wait before you have a tracking number before anticipating a shipment already.

Orders canceled after being in boxing ? Orders statuses moving backward and forward. Could it be that these orders have bad SKU's like someone mentioned ?

Who knows ... Maybe the order scheduler is trying to move things out of the way for valid orders ? The only way to get them out of the way is to reschedule or cancel/reorder ?
That's what I'm saying. The order status stuff is total BS. I don't care if you're in boxing, your computer hasn't been built yet. I doubt they have the parts in stock to build them yet, so don't get excited. I'll believe differently if I read about a tracking number or delivery at someone's door. Next week at the latest? No, I think next week at the earliest. I still think the April ship date is accurate.

Either of you guys get shipping details yet?

Does anyone know for a fact where the XPS2 is assembled? Most say Malaysia but apparently some I9300 owners report that their units were assembled in Ireland. Now the author of this thread is implying (from what Dell has said) that the units are assembled in Austin. If they are assembled in Austin and some units have passed the boxing phase, we should be hearing of tracking numbers being released today.

They're assembled in Malaysia and shipped over to the US during the 'boxing' stage. After they arrive I believe they're sent from Austin.

I think the confusion comes from the fact that their desktop systems are assembled in the US.

Mine has been in Boxing for 4 days, was supposed to ship yesterday or today... nothing yet. Not that I was hopeful, heh.

I just hit in production yesterday.. straight from in prodcutin to building no kitting. My estimated ship date is april 14th.. If they can get it out the door before that I'd be willing to let the dell ceo do unspeakable things to me! Well maybe not me but I'd be perfetly willing to let him do it to one of my friends and not intervene.

Silly question, since overnight is using usually FedEx for next day.. does that include weekends.. probably not right?

Also anyword on dell working the holidays, weekends, etc? Not sure w/Easter how that plays out..

lol if I was a Dell manager i'd do this for kicks once in awhile and then browse these forums for the outrage that would ensue.
