Well I have been following these threads almost religiously for the past few days , along with my own order status which is in the group of moving backwards and forwards.

All I can say is that the way Dell does orders does not seem to make any sense at all. I am thrilled that some people are reporting shipping status's which is great for everybody since hopefully they can start some threads about impressions/reviews etc etc.

It's amazing how almost 95% of Dell reps aren't really capable of doing anything except wasting phone time unless it has to do with simple clear requests like cancellation etc.

It's pretty clear even with trying to track parts that are on backorder, that Dell selects orders on a random basis since there are people who have ordered just a few days before there reported ship dates and have had no hang ups at all, while a large group of people who ordered first days are lagging behind. (Not all)

Too bad the XPS2 is such a sweet product(hopefully) making all of us tolerate Dell's bs.

If anything I certainly enjoy posting and following the threats and such quick replies, it helps make the wait more tolerable!

I hope that all of use in boxing are actually closer to shipment... Maybe dell has some of us thinking we are still in boxing... dont be suprised to be in shipping at any moment!

I called in to check with the automated system and it said it shipped today. With my free second day shipping Friday might just be the day.

Ordered mine on 03/06....my rep punched in the wrong sequence for my CC and my bank stopped all charges on my CC...obviously they were closed and had to wait to authorize my CC with Dell on 03/07....received a phone call from Dell Fraud Dept....told me that my Cell # I gave as main contact wasn't acceptable with Dell's procedures....my bank only has my Cell # as I travel frequently between 3 Provinces....something had to give...called my bank gave them a new # for my Customer profile....hmmmmm....Dell and its mysteries ways....


So, long story short...my Order Status page says - Ordered 03/09, shipping date 03/25....Order Status page on Dell's website reads - Order Date: 03/17 Production Date: 03/17

Dell told me today it is the final Production stage and should be send out Monday

Okay, I am done whining about my miserable life....

Mine also was shipped supposedly on Wedsnesday, with my two day shipping it should be here friday as well. I can't wait!

cdd543 or breadie (or stangcobra) since your XPS2 has shipped... can you find out what screen is listed on your invoice? or check your system configuration online under your account by entering your service tag?

you can retrieve your service tag number online under your account by using your order number (usually as soon as your system ships)

Not yet, tracking number hasnt been posted.

Does anyone know if they ship from Texas or Tennessee? I have heard both before.

Bah, not to be greedy since there are quite a few here still not in boxing, but I've been in boxing since Sat night/Sunday morning. On monday the dell rep told it should ship Tuesday. And here it is Wednesday night and nothing Still in Boxing like I've been for the past 4 days.

If you don't have access to your invoice, would one of you guys be willing to give Dell a call and ask them for your service tag? They should have it available if your system shipped, and the service tag will allow you to determine which LCD your XPS2 shipped with.
