The suspense mounts....

Yea, tracking number just showed up. I get this message when I try to access my invoice through my order history: "The invoice for this order is not available online. To request an invoice for this order, please submit the request form at https://support.dell.com/dellcare/Invoice.aspx". I bet the system isn't updated yet since it just went up. I'll check in the morning.

I got my service tag and it is just showing invalid.. still processing I guess.

Damn. Yeah, it does sometimes take them a while to become active. I wonder if a CSR would have access to your system manifest or packing slip info. In any case, you'll know for sure when you fire it up

try this... to retrieve your XPS2 system configuration -

step 1: log online and add your new order to your Dell account

you may find your new service tag number (see link) by entering your customer number or order number then add your XPS2 order to your Dell account by selecting the option "Add to My Systems List"
http://support.dell.com/support/topi...=19&l=en&s=dhs

step 2: go to >> my account >> my support >> my systems & peripherals >> enter service tag and lookup your XPS2 original configuration

Next, retrieve XPS2 original configuration by clicking your XPS2 service tag number

Example: when I lookup my Inspiron 8500 system under my account it actually shows more detail about my LCD than my packing slip - 7T774 - LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, Wide Super Extended Graphics Array, NO-SPWG, 15.4, SAMSUNG

I tried the chat again and they just directed me to tech support...blah. Gotta go to bed. I will check in the morning to see if I can get my invoice.

I'm also showing shipped, but have no service tag or tracking number yet.

Isn't sending the system to a courier part of boxing anyway? It hasn't technically shipped yet by normal standards. 0_o

Oh well, just as long as my new toy arrives friday. That's all I care about.

The anticipation of finding out what lcd the xps2 comes with is killing me.

Hmm...tracking numbers eh? *sigh* Alright, I'll get a little excited about that. Excited enough to check my status via phone...

Aw, you guys rock. My order is now in boxing. Sweetness. You guys are giving me some good luck. I went from Build to Testing to Boxing, all in the past 12 hours. And I got overnight shipping...oh man, now I'm excited. It can ship today (thursday) or tomorrow, and I'll get it in time.

Wow tracking numbers that is great. No movement on the order I made in February. I am still getting notify attempts for the extra battery I ordered. ( now shipping in April ) Probably because I sent back that 9200 in January.

I ordered mine on 2/24 and I'm still in the Build stage. Of course I went all the way to boxing before they cancelled me. So my new order was entered on 3/22.

Mine is ready to ship! It jumped from 'In Production' on the dell.ca site to 'Ready to ship' in a few hours.
