The first thing I would do is find the part number on the back of the Sony's panel. Then google the number to find specs, and you might even find pin-outs.
If it looks like it should work on paper, then try connecting the Dell panel into the Sony. That way, if you blow up the panel, you know Dell will fix it for you. If it works, the final step is connecting the Sony panel to your Dell, saying a little prayer, and then applying power....
