9300 Screen Latch

This really isn't a big deal, but if anybody can tell me whether the rubber "bumpers" situated around your LCD actually make physical contact with the front edge of your machine (near the trackpad) when your LCD is closed, I'd appreciate it.

Yep, sure do.

Of the four rubber bumpers along the latch edge on my 9200, the left three make contact. You've just made me slightly less appreciative of the fit and finish of my machine

On mine, the front ones don't make contact. Almost, but not quite.

I also think that the latch itself is made of extremely light (cheap) plastic. I don't like the feel of it at all. It does work well, though.

Just wondering. A door hit my backpack the other day at school, I noticed the "non-touching-ness" of my bumpers a few hours later. I couldn't remember if they were ever truely in contact or not. I suppose it's all good. I would imagine that after 15-20 times of being opened and closed, the latch would loosen a bit, so I'm not concerned.
