Is it just me or does this RMClock program crashes more often than Billy Joel driving?
Doesn't crash for me at all. Object Dock on the other hand..

try vernoison 1.4 1.5 has tons and tons of frekin bugs.
Yeah. I tried both version. And both crash. I started killing other processes thinking one was the conflict but it still kept on happening. But it desn't seem to crash on my barebones os installation. It seem that the GUI crashes the entire program because it only does so when ever I close it or re-open it from the system tray.

Any way here are the errors I get when closing/reopening the RMClock window:

After Clicking on "click here" I get this windows:

And after clicking on "click here" in that windows I get this one:

My results of the undervolting are as follows:

Min: 0.7v
Max: 1.02v

Any lower on the Max VID and I'll get the ERROR msg from Prime95.

Left fan on my i9300 seems to stop working, actually running really quiet now at full load.

Was tested with Prime95 running and Mabinogi in the laggiest town (www.mabinogi.jp).

So far cool and stable... great post~!!!!

Now to find a way to overclock this CPU and use undervoltage to keep the temperatures at bay. GPU undervolting would be great too, but I guess it might be useless since it is knownthat nVIDIA GPUs requires a lot more juice...

How long have you torture tested your VID's?
Well, the minimal on my 700m was already set to .700v or the lowest you can go.

The maximal was 1.340 and it only dropped to 1.160 without messing up. I read people were getting much larger differences than that. ???

Yeah, my original max was 1.340. Went all the way down to 0.972V with zero errors by 4 hours of torture test.

4 hrs 53 mins in non air conditioned room has passed. Still running fine now.

unclebenny, what cpu do you have? These people getting much lower voltages are probably using lesser processors. Maybe not, but in my case I couldn't get as low as them with my 2.0ghz. Of course, needle got pretty low, so maybe I'm wrong. Again, all processors aren't the same, some may be better at getting lower stable voltages than others.

Can anyone tell me why I cant change my max VID?

I do as the guide on page 1 tells me, but when I click apply, the voltage doesnt change.

I'am on an ASUS M6NBe.

Change the min vid to a lower number than max vid first (and hit apply) or if that doesn't work check the "Run HLt.." checkbox.

I thought I saw earlier that you can do this on a prosessor. I have a desktop P4in my lappy and I would love to get the temps down. I asked in the 8790 forums about undervolting and it was suggested to not do this with a desktop processor. Is this a bad idea?

Version 1.4 crashes whenever I click it on the system tray icon. Version 1.5 also crashes.

I'm trying to determine what causes it to crash. On my barebones OS installation it doesn't happen. I now determined it's NEITHER the chipset driver or the video driver that causes the crash. And after killing virtually all processes to determine which process causes it, it still crashed on the original OS.

If I just leave it in the system tray without opening it, it doesn't crash by itself; only when open or close the gui.

DPI Causes Crash

I found the problem. Appartently if you increase the DPI to 120 (from the default 96 in my case), RMClock GUI will crash:

Nothing we can do but request for the bug to be fixed.

I have the same problem

YEEEHAAA!!! I think I've got it!

My problem was not being able to set the max VID while the profile was set to Maximal in the Management tab.

By changing the profile to Automatic Management, I was able to change both the Maximal and Minimal VID.

So far, this is what I've achieved (I'm still stress-testing with Prime95):

CPU: 55ºC
System (northbridge): 47ºC
Vcore = Vmax: 1.052 V @ 16x 100 Mhz
Vmin = 0.7000 V @ 6x 100 Mhz

My rig: Intel PM725 (1.6Ghz); i855GME; Dell Inspiron 700m

I'll post update when I get to the lowest stable voltage.
